Your Questions Answered About ecoHVAC

We’ve been helping Australians choose the right HVAC solutions for over 50 years. Here’s a quick look at who we are, what we offer, and how we work.
Who is ecoHVAC and how long have you been operating?

ecoHVAC has been supplying energy efficient, high performance HVAC equipment since 1972, with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

We provide a wide range including VAV diffusers, fabric ducting, air curtains, buffer/expansion tanks, boilers, UVC germicidal lights, constant airflow regulators, and more.

We specialise in environmentally sustainable and energy saving HVAC systems, including efficient fabric ducting systems and germicidal UVC solutions.

We serve all of Australia with offices in QLD, NSW, and VIC, plus distributors across Adelaide, Townsville, Perth, Hobart, Darwin, and also Auckland and Christchurch.
We’ve been operating for over 50 years, working closely with clients to deliver high quality, tailored HVAC systems and end-to-end residential and commercial service.
Fabric ducting systems distribute air evenly across their lengths, reducing drafts and hot/cold spots compared to conventional diffusers.
A Constant Airflow Regulator maintains steady airflow despite pressure changes, crucial in modern airtight buildings for both supply and exhaust systems.
AV (Variable Air Volume) diffusers, like ecoHVAC’s Thermally Powered and Smart Electric models, help efficiently control the room temperature in specific zones, using built-in sensors, by adjusting supply air volume. They can be stand-alone or BMS connected.

UVC systems help control microbial growth on coils and other components, which supports energy efficiency, reduces service needs, and improves indoor air quality.

UVC effectively disinfects air stream pathogens and cleaning HVAC components, but it’s not a full air filter. Best used alongside filters and good ventilation.

Fabric ducts like those from DuctSox offer more airflow efficiency, aesthetic flexibility for architectural spaces, and easier installation than rigid metal systems.

Effective UVC installation considers dosage, airflow velocity, and coverage—typically aiming for ≥50–100 μW/cm² following ASHRAE standards.
